Red and Aqua Swap Quilt

Way back in the summer of '09, I participated with 100 other people in a Red and Aqua disappearing nine patch swap. I am thrilled to have this out of my wip pile. And I love how it turned out.
I wasnt in love with all the different fabrics that were chosen, most I would never had bought myself. But, they all seem to work together quite nice.
While searching the internet for inspiration on how to quilt this quilt,
I came across this Adorable nine patch quilt.
I Looooved the quilt, and LOOOVED the way it was quilted.
I love finding quilt inspiration online. (Thank You Jen)
This is my first time using a sheet as the backing fabric.
I picked this adorable teal sheet up at Target a few weeks ago.
A perfect match for the quilt.

Red and Aqua

I finished my disappearing nine patch blocks... 100 of them! There are a bunch that are my favorite...
Each of these is going to be going to a good home...
Hopefully a home where they are adored just as much as I adore them.
I layed out all my blocks on a white sheet,
to see what they would look like as a quilt (with sashing).
sooo cute!.
I cant wait to get everyone else's blocks, and make this cute quilt.

I Heart Fabric

I went to two different quilt shops to collect these beauties. They simply make me happy. I'm going to cut them up for the disappearing nine patch aqua and red swap. I am super excited about this swap. And soon enough I will have my own aqua and red quilt! love it.
There are still a few more spots available if you want to join in.
