Jen from Sanctuary Arts at Home is having a make it over party!
I did this project a year and a half ago, it is my favorite treasure in my home right now.
I was in LOVE with this chandelier at Rosenberry Rooms
When I told my Grandma I was interested in a chandelier she gave me her old one, here is the before picture:
I spray painted it off white then sanded with sandpaper to have the gold shine through, and cleaned the crystals with water and a little vinegar to make them sparkle like new again
I bought lamp shades from Home Depot
and added pink satin ribbon to dress them up
Now my chandelier fits right in with the ones for sale at Rosenberry Rooms!
Treasure just doesn't get better in my book, especially when its a hand-me-down, thanks again Grandma!
That turned out amazing!! What a sweet grandma to let you have it. I'll bet she loves it too :)
