I have been a reader of the Nester's for awhile now, and when I saw this linky party I knew it was time for me to post!
This is my master bathroom, inspired by the Nester, her instructions to a bathroom you'll love are here
My bathroom before: (the painting did take more than ten minuets, the walls are tobacco road, and the cabinet is white with vandyke brown glaze)
I followed the instructions from a Rate My Space kitchen by Alettasdesgin for painting the vanity, She is great and has pictures for the step by step instructions which are very detailed and easy to understand.
I did one thing different, I wiped the glaze over everything instead of mixing it into the paint like she does, which makes my cabinet more rustic looking. My husband cut out the beadboard from home depot and nailed it to the cabinet and I painted it at the same time with everything else.
I changed up the hardware, and put my crest and toothbrushes in the drawer
I did a "mistreatment" for my tiny window, and put fabric on a basic walmart shower curtain, I put ribbon around the towel to add a spa-like finishing touchThank you Nester for your inspiration!
This is so cute. I'm gearing myself up to paint my kitchen cabs. So adorable. You couldn't even see that the cabs were beadboard before...it shows up so cute now.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your cabinet!!!
ReplyDeleteSincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Your cabinet is gorgeous! The rest of your bathroom has a spa like feel.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh I want that vanity- is it really beadboard or faux painted? Did you give the instructions and in my excitement missed it???
ReplyDeleteOh please, please do tell how you painted the cabinet! I painted my bathroom a few months ago and would LOVE to paint the cabinet, but I chickened out. Was it difficult?
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That looks great! At first I thought the painted cabinet was a piece of furniture. Great paint job...seriously!
ReplyDeleteI also love the wall color. I used tobacco road on a couple walls in the living room and I love it. It's so warm and yet neutral.
That really looks nice. Good work!
ReplyDeleteThat cabinet turned out really well! I am very impressed!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - that is so impressive! I had to keep clicking back and forth on your pictures to see if it was the same room. What a transformation! It looks awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

I would definitely love to have step-by-step directions on how you did that cabinet. My bathroom cabinet is exactly like that and I am trying to get up the nerve to paint it myself.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, your entire bathroom is gorgeous and inspiring! I never dreamed my little builder grade sink/vanity might one day transform into a beautiful work of art! You have inspired me to shoot for the stars, at least in my bathroom!

ReplyDeleteWow! It looks so great! Just this past weekend I painted my bathroom Tobacco Road and my cabinet white! LOL I love it. But, I really love what you did to your cabinet. It looks so great! I really, really love the "feet" you put on the bottom of your cabinet to make it look like a piece of furniture. Where did you get those? I would so love to do that to mine. You are so smart! So glad I found you from Nester!
