Practice and a Quickie

This is my second time so far making hot pads. The first time was when I was about 12yrs old. Not sure what they looked like, or how they held up. So for sure I will remember my second time around, because these are unforgettably cute. These were great practice for different stippling designs, and binding.
Now I'm off to bake some yummy treats, so I can use these adorable hot pads.

    Those are so cute!!! I love the beaters on the black and the chickens ~~~ what fabric is that? Great job on the stippling too.

    These are really cute!!! I've been making hot pads as well and I'm wondering if you use batting or something special?

    the fabric is Robert Kaufman.

    For the insides, I used a layer of warm n white, and a layer of insul-bright that I picked up a Joannes, sandwiched between my fabrics.
